Moorestown Friends School students and families have donated a collection of 421 hats, scarves, mittens and gloves and 354 stuffed animals to New Visions Community Center in Camden as part of the school’s annual Keep People Warm campaign (December 5 – 15). In addition, the MFS Upper School Service Club collected and wrapped gifts donated from the school community to send to the Urban Promise program of Camden for distribution to needy families.
Community service is a year-round activity and part of the curriculum through every level of instruction at MFS. It has been an MFS graduation requirement since 1989 that seniors perform community service, and many students exceed the 50 hours required for graduation.
