MFS News January 22, 2010 MFS COMMUNITY SUPPORTS HAITI EARTHQUAKE RELIEF EFFORTS
On Friday, January 22, students in all three divisions at Moorestown Friends School participated in a Pajama Day for Haitian relief. Lower School students provided a small donation to their teacher for the privilege of wearing pajamas to school while students in Middle and Upper School gave a minimum donation of $3. All donations were sent to the Red Cross to provide earthquake relief for Haiti. In addition, the medical team in Haiti from Cooper University Hospital, which includes Dr. Angela Dixon Guerrera, MFS Class of ’99, expressed a great need for crutches for children and adults. The school conducted a swift drive to collect gently used crutches for children and adults and delivered them to the hospital on Monday, January 25.
