Seeking Guys and Dolls To Help with Guys and Dolls

Whether your kids will be on stage, backstage or sitting in the audience, we welcome your help with the fall musical Guys and Dolls.

There are plenty of things to do and we welcome your participation— NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY. While we need assistance in the areas of hair, make-up, set construction, props, program production and costumes, we are also in need of volunteers to help with refreshments, ticketing, t-shirts, and tech week dinners.

Please feel free to contact us should you want to help out. Some help will be needed on weekends leading up to the performance (especially set construction). Just let us know how big a commitment you are willing to make and when. Looking forward to working with lots of volunteers to make “Guys and Dolls” a great success for all.

Visiting Day at Moorestown Monthly Meeting - September 26

Moorestown Monthly Meeting invites families to join them on Sunday, September 26 for Fellowship and Exploration with a focus on the Mystery of Meeting for Worship.

This Informational Discussion Program begins at 9:00 AM sharp. During this time, Lynn Sinclair, a long time member of Moorestown Meeting, parent of an MFS alumnus, and former Lower School Quaker Education teacher, will facilitate a program for visiting families on “The Mystery of Meeting for Worship.”  She will talk about what happens in Meeting for Worship in the various schools, how the schools make the silence meaningful for students, the skills it can develop and the tools employed to facilitate the development of those skills, the role of Meeting for Worship in the educational process and the opportunities Meeting for Worship presents for personal and spiritual growth.

Meeting for Worship and First Day School begins at 10:00 AM.

Our First Day School classes start with Meeting for Worship in the Meeting room.  At 10:15 a.m. the teachers will lead the children, five years old through middle school, out of the Meeting Room and to their classrooms.  First Day School classes will focus on what it means to be a Quaker.  Children will be brought back to the Meeting room at 11:00 a.m.  Any children, younger than five years old, who do not wish to participate in Meeting for Worship, are welcome to spend the entire time in Child Care with Rachael Tidd, a teacher at Friends Academy of Westampton.
