Parents of Students of Color Meeting - March 26 | Baseball Team Honors Memory of Al Sherby Moorestown Friends School E-News - March 20, 2009 Chris Kimberly Appointed Upper School Director Moorestown Friends School Head of School Larry Van Meter recently announced the appointment of Christopher Kimberly as Upper School Director, effective July 1st, 2009. He will replace Matt Glendinning, who was hired in November as Head of School at Moses Brown School in Rhode Island where he will also begin July 1st, 2009. “When I met with faculty, staff, students, and parents, it deepened my conviction that MFS would be a wonderful environment in which to work and educate my children,” said Kimberly. “I feel fortunate to be joining such a vibrant and welcoming community.” Kimberly arrives from Emma Willard School, a highly regarded girls’ boarding school in Troy, NY. He is currently the Dean of Academics at the school, a position that is responsible for overseeing the school curriculum and faculty. Kimberly has a B.A. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Princeton University and a M.S. in the Natural Sciences from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI). “We are very excited to have Chris on board,” said Van Meter. “He is a Quaker educator who offers a great combination of experiences as a first-rate administrator, teacher, and coach.” Read more...
