PRE-ORDER DISCOUNT PRICING EXTENDED THROUGH SEPTEMBER

To allow as many families as possible to take advantage of the discount, pre-order prices have been extended through September for Doing Well and Doing Good: MFS at 225, the 128-page hardback book detailing the school’s early beginnings, growth, leadership changes, and rise to becoming one of the premier independent schools in the country.

Take advantage of the pre-order discount of $38.50 available through September 30, 2010. After this date, the price increases to $48.50.

The Founders Edition, available for $78.50 ($88.50 after September 30), features the book inserted into a handsome slipcase with a student or family name foil-stamped on the case.

225th Anniversary Celebratory Events Planned

  • A Convocation featuring National Association of Independent Schools President Pat Bassett
  • A series of tours led by MFS faculty and friends
  • A special evening with 225th anniversary book author Margaret Kirk
  • The Parent Council Auction at the Scottish Rite Auditorium in Collingswood
  • The return, for this year only, of the old tradition of Color Day, a year-long athletic and school spirit contest between the "Reds" and the "Blues"

Volunteer at MFS!

Parents have been sent a packet highlighting volunteer opportunities for the 2010-11 school year. Volunteering is a great way to share your interests, talents and time with the school while providing service to the MFS community.

Athletics Paperwork Past Due

All forms required for participation in athletics in 2010-11 (physical exam, health history form and consent to steroid testing form) were due on July 31. Upper School students wishing to participate in preseason training (begins Monday, August 23) must have all forms on file with the school. PLEASE NOTE: physical exams are required to be reviewed by the school physician. This requires a 72-hour turnaround time. Students who bring their physical on August 23 will not be permitted to participate until the exam is reviewed by the school physician. Questions?
