2009 Parent Council Auction - A Night in Old Shanghai
The Parent Council Auction will be held on Friday night, March 20, 2009 at The Merion in Cinnaminson. Be sure to mark the date on your calendar now. Whether you are a new family to MFS or you’ve been part of the school community for many years, this is an event you will not want to miss. Nearly 450 people from our community attended in 2007. Invitations will be mailed in early February, but we encourage you talk to with your friends now to plan a table, and if you need one, lock in a babysitter ASAP! This is the largest single fundraising event for Parent Council. In 2007, the profit from the auction topped $235,000! The theme for the evening this year is A Night in Old Shanghai and proceeds will go towards professional development for MFS faculty. The auction features roughly 700 items - most are part of the silent auction, but there are a number of amazing items that are part of the Class Gifts Live Auction and the big Live Auction at the end of the night. To make the auction a success, we hope you will consider donating an item or items for the auction. Click here for a list of ideas that make terrific donations The Auction Catalog is your guide for the event. All auction participants will receive the catalog about a week or more in advance of the auction. The catalog lists all of the items in the Live and silent auctions, as well as the donors of the items. The catalog also features dozens of pages of ads. Another great way to support the event is to purchase an ad in the catalog. You can place an ad from your family or business. The Auction Committee would greatly appreciate your help in securing donations and ads from businesses and companies that you patronize or who are connected with your business or your family. You can download the Record of Donation and Advertisement Forms at the links below. The forms should be completed and dropped off at the Reception Desk in Stokes Hall. The deadline to submit donations or advertisements is February 9, 2009. Auction Forms: Advertisement Form - Approximately 450 people attended the auction in 2007.
