Academics - Upper School Meet the Director
Chris Kimberly
Prior to his employment at Emma Willard, he worked as a science instructor at the Albany Academy for Girls. Mr. Kimberly has a B.A. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Princeton University and a M.S. in the Natural Sciences from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI). After receiving his degree from RPI, he worked at the Institute for two years as an instructor and curriculum developer, using LEGO RoboLab to teach robotics to underprivileged youth. Mr. Kimberly has served on the board of trustees at the Susan Odell Taylor School for Children in Troy, NY. He has also been a reader for the College Board’s Advanced Placement Chemistry Exam. Mr. Kimberly and his family attend Moorestown Monthly Meeting. He and his wife, Polly, have three sons who attend the MFS Lower School. They enjoy camping, hiking and canoeing in the Adirondacks.
